Added bonus: The Library provides the required MLA citation for library sources.
After reading MLK's "Letter from Birmingham Jail," offer your own definition of a just law; you can agree with King, agree with him in part, or disagree; if you disagree, you need to offer your own definition.
Then, please give an example of one or two laws you think are just or unjust and tell why you think the law(s) is just or unjust. Be sure to use specific examples and support your essay with research.

Final Draft Must Include:
• 4 full pages, double-spaced, and Times New Roman 12-point font. This is approximately 1000 words.
• 4 sources/articles minimum.
• Clear thesis statement that puts forth a strong argument.
• An introduction that guides your reader to your thesis and a conclusion paragraph to wrap up your ideas.
• Synthesis of ideas. Each of your body paragraphs will contain ideas from two or more of the sources. Your body paragraphs will not simply summarize a source – the sources will be used to provide evidence to support your point.
• Correct MLA Citations and a separate correct Works Cited Page.
• Meet all other aspects on the “Complete” rubric.
A level must, in addition to the above:
• Have 1250 words (5 pages).
• Include an outside scholarly source that you have found yourself. This needs to be an academic, peer-reviewed source. Use the SCC Library Database to help.
• Use a total of at least 5 articles in the essay.
• Include at least one viewpoint you don’t agree with and explain why you don’t think this view is correct. In other words, include a counterargument and a refutation.
