OneSearch Tips

OneSearch - what is it?

OneSearch finds most of the library's collection from a single search box. Type keywords and find books, ebooks, articles, and media.

From off-campus, when you reach protected content, use your W# and eservices password to log in.

Here's an example of the type of resources you can find:

onsesearch - how to limit your results

Once your results are displayed, you can use the limiters in the left column to reduce the number of results:

  1. Click "Scholarly Journals" if your instructor requires that your sources be scholarly or peer-reviewed articles.
  2. Change the "From" date and click apply to update the publication date.
  3. Under "Resource Type," you can limit your search to articles or ebooks ("Books" will give you ebooks).
  4. Under "Subject" you can check the exact subjects you want to find.
