Sharing Links
Every full-length video comes with a pre-configured URL for sharing and linking. For best results, get the correct URL by following these steps:
- Click the Share button below any full-length video or playlist. This generates the permanent URL to your video(s) to use when sharing.
- Copy and paste the link in the desired location (email, Canvas, etc.)
Note: You can also email and share videos by clicking on the email or social media logos directly above the URL.
Embedding in Canvas
You will get best results by posting a link to the video. But if you prefer to embed a video from Kanopy into Canvas, you will start in Kanopy. Once you have found the video that you want, click on the Share button directly below the video. Next, click Embed. Copy the HTML snippet.
Next, go to the part of Canvas that you want to embed the video. Add a title for the Module or Assignment, then click the Insert/edit media button.
Once you are in the Insert/edit media window, click Embed. Paste the code that you copied from the Kanopy page in the space provided. Then click Ok.
