Kanopy

In order to use the features described on this page, you must first create a free account. Follow these steps:

1. Click Sign Up to create a new account or Log in if you already have an account.
2. To create a new account, enter your first and last name, an email address and create a password.
3. Click Sign Up 
4. Or you can log in through Facebook or Google.

Find the video that you wish to create your first clip. Click Create Clip/Playlist. Kanopy will then ask you to enter a name for the playlist.

If you are adding to an existing playlist, then click Add video. The number of clips changes as you add to the playlist.

Click Edit Playlist to cut the video down to the clip that you want.

At this point, you can edit the playlist title if you wish to change it.

To select the clip that you want in your playlist, you can either:

1. Click to start the film. When you want your clip to start, click Capture next to Start Time. Then click Capture next to Stop Time when you want the clip to end.
2. Enter in the timecodes manually.

When you are finished, click Save Clip.

If you wish to add more clips to your playlist, then click Click here to add a new clip.

Then search for the title or subject of the next video that you want to add to your playlist.

The new video has been added to your playlist in its entirety. Click Edit to trim down the video to the clip that you want. If you want to duplicate the video to create several clips from the same video, then click Duplicate. If you want change the order of the clips, simply drag the clips upwards or downwards using the cross icon on the left underneath the clip number. You can also click Delete to delete a clip or click Delete Playlist at the bottom if you want to delete the entire playlist.

Once you are done with your playlist, you can watch it any time by clicking My Playlists on your Dashboard, then click the title of your playlist.

Now you can see your playlist and all of the clips that comprise it. Just click Play on the video to watch it.
