Informational Speech

Your Informative Speech will be during Week 9 (10/16 & 10/18).    

Here are the following requirements for your presentation.

  • You must speak for 6 minutes. I encourage to you to review the Informational Speech Rubric to see specifics on grading!!
  • Your topic must informative
  • You must include verbal citations within your speech
  • You must have two visual aids (typically Google doc, PowerPoint etc)
    • One should be a picture
    • One should be a graph
      • You must cite your source and where you got your information or graphic design on the slide  ie: SPCA.  This reference is usually in the corner of the slide.
      • You cannot have two of the same type of visual aids ie: two pictures or two graphs. 
  • You need to have four (4) sources for this speech
    • 2 of the 4 sources must be from a scholarly journal.  (Go to our online library and schedule an apt with an librarian if you need  help)
    • Outline will be in APA  Format -Use Sample Format Provided: Files, Helpful Files, APA Example.
      • This Outline in a template, keep the outline format and insert your own information.
      • You must use this APA outline for this speech. Do not use the outline you used in your Introduction Speech.
