OERs for History

The History OER sub-pages are a list of OER links. The OERs in the sub-pages ARE NOT a complete list of all History OER textbooks and ancillaries available. Instead, they are meant to help guide faculty members who don't want to look for OER materials for their classes, for those who can't find any OERs on their own, for those who are overwhelmed by the huge number of OERs available, and for those who aren't sure about the legality of a source they have found on their own. All sources included here can be used in your classes under various creative common licenses.

Free History Websites (not OER)

There are many free, online resources that are legal to use for your classes if you provide a link to the resources (instead of editing, adding to, or re-mixing the resources). Many of these are copyrighted, so they are not OERs, but that doesn't mean you can't use them for your class. Please email me if you have questions about the terms of use for any resource.
