Find Articles

Find articles

Find articles from journals, magazines and newspapers in the library databases. You can find a link to the library databases on the library home page under Essentials.

On the database page, choose a category, e.g. History, then a database, e.g. America History and Life. Or search any topic in Academic Search Complete.

Off campus, log in to the database with your W number and eservices password.

Keywords are the important words that describe your topic, for e.g. (there are many possible combinations):

  • Sacramento California supermarkets
  • "Elk Grove" California hous*
  • "Rancho Cordova" California econom*
  • "Oak Park" California
  • Meadowview statistics

When you find a book or article that fits your topic, look for the Subject words.  These are the "library-approved" words for your topic, click on them or use them in your next search.
