Academic Libraries

Sacramento State (CSUS)

Sacramento State's library is open to the public. You can sit down at a computer and search the databases and e-journals without limitation. You can also purchase a Community Borrower card for $50/year that allows you to check out up to 15 books at a time.

UC Davis

Look for computers with a red "Public" label. You can use these to search databases and read ejournals and ebooks. You can email articles from some of the databases and print articles, but unfortunately you can't download to a flash drive on these computers.

For $12.50/quarter, you can purchase a library card that allows you to check out up to 5 books at a time. To get it, go to the Circulation Desk at Shields Library. Bring photo identification, your SCC Student Access Card, and a printout of your current schedule from eServices.

Note that a free shuttle, the Unitrans V Line, travels between West Village and the UC Davis Silo, near Shields. This means that, if you have a Los Rios parking pass, you can use the SCC Davis Center's parking lot and avoid UCD parking fees.
